Title: Shadowrun 4th Edition Character Generator
Post by: kv on April 08, 2012, 11:45:45 PM
Hey Chummers,

I was running Shadowrun over the weekend for some meatbod friends, and I discovered that the computer I had access to no longer had the SR4 character generator on it. I started downloading Daegunn's, and while discussing it with my brother, decided to see if there was a newer generator out there;

Turns out, there is- I found a program named Chummer, that allows you to create characters, differentiate between new characters and established characters, track karma and rewards, and does a kick-ass job with the character sheet (including giving correct totals for defaulted skills right there in the skill section!).

Anyway, you can google-fu 'Shadowrun Chummer,' and find it here: http://www.dndjunkie.com/blog/?tag=shadowrun

Or you can just hit the direct download link here: http://www.dndjunkie.com/dev/chummer/Chummer.zip

Program is great, I'm going to recommend it to all my Shadowrun buddies.

Oh. Just a quick note- I'm installing this on my laptop, and you may or may not need Microsoft .NET framework v4.0.30319 for it to run properly.

 Of course, you can get that for free from here:

Chummer is a great program.  My head tends to hurt when crunching a new character into existence.

Is it me or does Chummer only have the Core Rulebook stuff in it?

By default yes.  Go to the tools tab and then options.  From there you can select what books you want it to use.

The person doing it is pretty good about keeping it up-to-date.  Gun Haven 2 has already been put into it.
