Wikipedia's Entry for Tamanous (http://wiki.dumpshock.com/index.php/Tamanous)

The link only says 'Organization | Crime," so maybe in the Underworld Sourcebook?

It is mentioned in Man & Machine and is detailed (I believe) in Loose Alliances, one of the last 3rd Edition books published.

Yeah Man & Machine mentions them briefly, from memory.

How much info are you looking for on this, Ingo? As far as I know, quite a bit of Tamanous is left to speculation and rumor. I think the Powers That Be (and that doesn't mean Immortal Elves, Retread ;) ) want it to be a kind of Boogy Man organization that is more fear and loathing than concrete fact. Also, you may well have some organ-leggers or red market street docs who claim to be in Tamanous, but have no real contacts in it at all. A bit of street cred goes a long way, and in certain circles that kind of reputation is desired.

Just reading up ;)

How about 'Gestalt'?
I read about it yesterday and thought it was kinda neat so I wrote that down in my notebook.  But later yesterday I wanted to read about it again and for the life of me I couldn't find it anywhere.

Gestalt is in Threats. It was, or is if it wasn't destroyed by Ghostwalker, a cabal of highly initiated Blood Mages from down in Aztlan. IN fact, it may be in Aztlan in stead of Threats. Check both. And if Retread ever gets around to getting back here, ask him about it too. He sees pretty well-versed in that thing.

It's not (significantly) in the Aztlan sourcebook.

Yeah I found it in Threats.  I don't think I'll be using it after reading that section though.

I do have to say that the ritual they described was pretty fraggin interesting. Blood transfusion magic, now THAT is a bit creepy.

Yeah, but it's focused on Aztlan and I don't forsee my game going that direction.  But hey, you never know right?

Well, Retread had a big theory about how the Gestalt was able to move between teocali and was present in Denver when Ghostwalker came tearing through the place. So you could probably have the thing pop up wherever there is a teocali and some pissed off blood mages. Of course, if it just doesn't play to your tastes as a GM, then it really doesn't matter.

I'm running my game out of Seattle and I think it'd be far-fetched to have a teocali pop up in the middle of Downtown..

Then again the Aztechnology building does look like one... ;)

Is Aztlan going to be a reacering (sp) theam in your campaign? If so, you could always have a small, concealed teocalli in the mountains. IF not, then I really wouldn't worry too much about it.

Well, my theory was that the Teocalli were being used to move substantial amounts of mana in order to raise the magic level in a certain area high enough to summon a very powerful spirit-form. Essentially, Gestalt could form through blood transfusion, making a very powerful "summoner" and then with a large enough sacrifice (a dragon, maybe) and enough mana (hence the Teocalli) to summon one hell of a Blood spirit.

Additionally, I speculated that the teocalli rituals were being used as a network to find one of the Loci.

Isn't there something about Tanamous in the New Orleans section of Smuggler Havens?
