Title: Useless Information
Post by: BornKrazi on May 07, 2007, 08:20:55 PM
So my mom tells me all the time that I'm full of useless information.  So I was thinking about starting a thread where everyone can post their useless information.  You can post as many or as few as you want.  I'll start, and I'll probably add at least one a day.  But beware, if you post something as a fact, be ready to back it up if someone tries to dispute it.  I suggest posting a link or something of that nature showing where you got the information.

Fact:  Did you know there is a $100,000 bill featuring a portrait of Woodrow Wilson.  It was printed in 1934 and never placed in circulation.  This note cannot be legally held by a currency note collector.

Your butt contains the largest muscle in your body- the gluteus maximus.

(two for the price of one!)

Your brain is not a muscle. Of all the other structures in the body, it most closely resembles fat.

Julius Gaius Caesar was never King.
He was offered the position, but knew how much the romans hated kings (unsurprisigly, he was one), and chose to decline it. Instead he took the titles of Imperator & Dictator - for life.

Just a (semi-)relevant quote from an L5R forum:

Also consider that 'conditions' like having a katana in your hand, should be the only way you fight. L5r is not a game where you fight naked, tied up, in the dark. Save that for shadowrun.

Halle Berry farted more than once on the set of Catwoman.

and for a second math trivia:
142857
multiply that by any number from 1 to 6 and you will still have the same digits, only in a different order.
142857 * 2 = 285714
142857 * 3 = 428571
142857 * 4 = 571428
142857 * 5 = 714285
142857 * 6 = 857142
