Title: Was anybody else aware of this?
Post by: APOCALYPSE on July 14, 2007, 08:10:05 AM
I just happen to be doing a little research and stumbled across this. Did anybody else know? Needless to say, it's a new Shadowrun game that looks pretty sweet.

It's released on Tuesday--July 17th, 2007!!!!!

Thoughts anyone?

The main whining that I've heard tends to be along two lines:

1) It isn't an MMORPG.
2) It doesn't follow exact continuity of the Shadowrun Universe.

That being said, it looks awesome to me. I want to get a copy and start cooking up team matches.

The only issue I see with the game is it is not made for people who have not or do not want to upgrade to winvista or do not have the money for an xbox 360

Well... no offense, but Microsoft doesn't want customers like that.

There's a crack around that enables it to be played on XP.

it's been out for a while in the US. I've seen my friend play the demo on the xbox 360. I wasn't that impressed...

Well, the game is all about combat, which as a rule (at least in my games) you're supposed to avoid. But they did a good job with the look and feel of the game, which is very high tech & low life. They made up thier own megacorp, and they made up thier own magical talisman thang, and you can transport through walls, but honestly, I hear the gameplay is out of this world.

Seriously- that the game kicks ass. And not just from fratboys who play halo, but from people who didn't like that they altered the storyline (this is pre-first edition).

Give it a chance- if you have a 360, pick up a copy and encourage Microsoft to make more Shadowrun games.
