Title: New board up and running! Please read
Post by: Ingo Monk on September 25, 2007, 01:11:32 PM
So the new board is up and running.  Though you may have notice the color scheme is different.  The one I had loaded went crazy when the software was updated so I had to revert to the basic one.  I'm working on the color scheme and I'll put it back up as soon as I get it in working order.  Please post any issues in the feedback board so I can take a look at them.

Fixed the theme, now we're rocking the shadows once more.  Seems like the smilies are broken though, I'll be checking on that next.

NVM, quick fix on the smilies.  Next I'll work on bringing our custom smilies over.

Avatars fixed!

The new board doesn't seem to allow the resizing of posts to accommodate large avatars.  Some people will be needing to resize their avatars.

The neat thing is that you can now upload your own avatar.  I think the limit is set to 150x150 pixels at the moment, but I can change or remove that if someone wants to try it out.

Zone, please let me know about which area you need more contrast on so I can adjust the colors.

Ingo, can you resize my avatar? I don't even know where I had it saved, and if I do it wrong, I'll lose my cool animation. Help a bruddah out?

don't know if you know this or not but it appears the karma isn't working.

Indeed Karma seems to be misbehaving a bit (also: I owe jester a point of Karma).

The first point I stripped of was fine, but then I tried to give it back, I could only give a lump of 2 points.
Same when I tried to take the lump away again (hoping that I'd only drain him one.

EDIT: I think what happened  (for me, don't now what problem jester found) was that the board saves not just karma balances, but also karma actions. I could smite and applaude, but only relative to his original 13 - and so could not move him to any value other than 12 or 14 without waiting for atleast an hour. A safety mechanism so that no-one simply smites someone into the ground in 5 mins.

@Jester: If I haven't put your karma point back tomorrow, please remind me.

EDIT2: @Jester: I just point your Karma Point back, the one you're missing is the one K_V ripped.

Karma appears to be working fine.

I just smited you and it took you down from 12 to 11... so I think it's working.

Yeah, they're totally there. Although... you are back up to 12 karma again.
Maybe I should smite you again, just to make sure it sticks...

I've attached an image of what the pub looks like on my laptop.  Resolution is 1280x800, reduced the size of the image due to attachment limitations.

No scroll bars necessary.
I've set the pub to be about 900 pixels wide, at ROOT's recommendation.

Yep. I'm not having to scroll today.

Did I notice a new face around the ol' pub? Blackknight?

I'm glad to see new faces. I'm going to make it a habit to stop by the pub more often (because it'll help me stop obsessively checking other message boards), and I'd like for there to be people here when I do. :zone:

I'm hoping to do some planning for an upcoming campaign, maybe a few works of fiction by my peeps for flavor before each game? I love writing, but I like that each of you have a different writing style than my own. I'd love to get pieces of fiction that I could use to set the mood and tone of the games, rather than the jerkiest guy living because he throws other people in front of the bullets.
