Title: The 6th World
Post by: Ingo Monk on December 05, 2012, 11:49:08 AM
Remember folks, the 6th world officially starts in a few weeks based off the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar.  Though, in SR it was last year  ???

I can't wait for there to be elves and dwarves- and since my daughter will be born sometime late in January or early in February, *fingers crossed* she gets elf genes and not troll genes.

That biased! Troll Hater!! And what about the dwarf? No, love for the dwarf huh?  What you don't want her growing a better beard than you? lol

Congrats on the kid and yeah we get to see if the world ends in like 5 days or something.  Though someone pointed out that our calendar hasn't been around as long as the Mayan calendar so the calculations were off due to leap year and things like that.  Actually found out like every 10 years they tried adding another month or something.

I think Galleao said it best:
"...but it still spins..."

We sure that wasn't the fever talking?

Anyway this seemed like a semi appropriate place to ask this question.  Does anybody have anything on the new books Storm Front and Simsense/ BTL ebook that recently came out?  I am finding nothing on either of them really.  Which is slightly annoying?  As well as a point I made earlier that I don't think Chummer is doing a good job of keeping up anymore.  The question is if we are right about the rumor mill of 5th edition why should they?

I read the update on the Chummer website that he's not going to do more updates for Chummer (which is exclusively 4th edition), and will instead design and plan a completely new program for SR5.

Which I think is cool.

I haven't heard a peep about Stormfront, except that it's supposed to contain the plotlines that make a major point in SR5 (sorry about using that term a lot, trying to get used to it). I do like that all of the new(er) content has suggestions and plotlines rather than hard adventures, so you can run them no matter what edition you're playing.
