Whatever they say, I ws extremely happy with this movie.

The effects were awesome- and for the most part, non-present. They actually moved away from and FX-heavy story and went with the action movie that has lots of action and stunts. That's what got me hooked. By the time Bond and the villian are jumping through the building site, I'm sure you'll be watching closely.

And... uhhh... Bond didn't get "Moneypenny," he just called Vesper moneypenny.

I actually liked this movie enough that I'm looking forward to the next one, which is something that I can't honestly say has happened since I was dissapointed in every movie since Goldeneye.

Of course, this was directed by the same guy who made Goldeneye. So it's awesome.

he just called Vesper moneypenny.

Ahh! How did I fail to make that connection!

Now I need to rewatch the movie, and re-read a lot of books. . . Vesper! Snap~!

Yeah, watching Bond kick this much ass has made me want to read Ian Fleming's books.

Uh, I think that's more of a product of Bond films being made in the seventies than anything else- as I understand it, after the first few movies, the only thing they borrowed from the books was the title and the main character.

In "The Spy Who Loved Me," for instance, the entire book took place in a hotel in Virginia. The movie? One of the craptacular Roger Moore ones.

Uhhh.... sorry, but the movie had nothing to do with Virginia. Sadly, it was one of the most bastardized plots ever. (Sean Conner's return in the redone "Thunderball" as "Never Say Never Again" was close behind)

Yeah, but I just had to mention that I'm irritated that they recycled the plot from "Thunderball" for "Never Say Never Again" and no one noticed.

I most highly reccommend "From Russia with Love," "Goldeneye," and "Casino Royale" (the new one, not the Peter Sellers one)

Well I'm still looking for the new one, and everyone tells me Goldfinger is the drek!  So eventually I'll watch it!  I still need to watch the Godfather series...

Not Goldfinger. Golden EYE. With Pierce Brosnan.

Although Goldfinger wasn't bad- it was actually one of the worse Sean Connery ones, but it was still very entertaining.
