PBP Games
« on: January 11, 2007, 10:46:02 AM »

Hey all, I was curious if anyone was interested in taking part in one of the PBP games. I know we've had a couple, and they've fizzled before we were completely done (except for the Stuffer Shack one, which ending painfully and perfectly), but I'm not giving up.

I want to start a series of mini-adventures, only strung together by the fact that pretty much the same group of runners would be completing these missions. I'm not going to demand that you can check the board and post twice daily, and I'm taking the weekends off, so you can too if you want. But if you're able to post twice a week, this would be about perfect. Assuming you're interested.

This will be 3rd Edition rules. Sorry, 4thers, but I'm sticking to what I know. Although I probably should learn the new rules, so we can have a PBP on here and I can work out the kinks before I play in real life. Stupid wireless matrix. >:/

Anyway, I just thought I'd see what everyone had to say about it.

Once or twice a week?  Yeah, I could probably do that.

I'm sure I could too (despite recent evidence to the contrary!)

Cheers.  :D

You know how you think you'll just have a break for a couple of days, maybe a week?  Somehow that turned into several months...  :-[

Anyway, back now  :)

Bummer about 3rd edition, because I know nothing about it. I hope it gets going though, I'd like to watch.

Assuming that everyone here is in, immediately.

I start school this week, but that means that I'm stuck on campus for hours every day with nothing really to do. That's a dangerous thing, so I'll focus all that energy on making the run good for you guys!

Uhhh... depending on which idea you're talking about having fade away, we could be talking about anything from the ill-fated Pub T-shirt or hat projects, to the ill-fated WWII 3rd Edition Shadowrun game (minus magic and machine, plus NAZIS!)

Yeah, I know that feeling- which is why I started letting other people GM... of course, all the PBP died right after that, and no one GMed anything, but we'll see if we can't get another game going pretty quick here.

Well I'm good for now, its nice GMing with a different cast playing.  Although I would really like to see what it was like playing Supernova as a PC and not the GM...

Not at this exact moment, but probably in the near future. Yeah, I might.

I usually wait until breaks between semesters until I start games, so the labor-intensive part of the run is out of the way (planning and making sure I have ever detail of every character), and I can just run the day-to-day stuff without too much trouble during the semester.
