They're just premiering there because it's the first high-tech civilized country across the international date line (sorry Aussie, I love you). It's yet another way of increasing thier box office grosses for thier one-day and three-day totals, and making movies look more successful than they really are.

I gladly accept the mission and will let you know the spoils afterwards. I'm moving soon so it should be good reward.

Oh yeah, in case I haven't mentioned (I know that I haven't), but I bought a place and move in two weeks. Another reason why I have been busy. I'll make more of an official post in a week or so.

Hey Jester,

I was curious where you heard about the release of Harry Potter. I've been looking around but it seems the release date is July 20/21. I can buy early tickets but no movie until July. Let me know where you heard and I can check it out.

The release might be the premiere release for movie stars, etc. The whole red carpet deal...you know what I mean right?

It was WAY, WAY too short of a movie. It was like the Reader's Digest condensed Harry Potter movie. I really hope they have an extended version on DVD. Other than that, it was pretty good. The fight scene in the Minestry of Magic was a let-down, but oh well.

PS - I prefered Transformers!!!!!

I thought it was good. It held the emotion of being sad and lonely. Overall, I liked it but I agree with Gabe. It was a bit quick but it's hard to fit a whole book into 2 hours.

I think they needed to add about 20 minutes to the whole thing. A bit more at the department of mysteries and a little more "fluff" with Luna. And GHOST DAMMIT!!! I wanted to see Luna's HAT!!!!!
