I actually held the 4th edition book today at Borders and I also noticed they have Serenity the RPG... So I ordered Augmentation so I can try to stay in the loop.  They also had a couple novels, but that was it.  I was rather disappointed.

They had Shadowrun novels? I wasn't aware of any of those still being in print. :o

Last few I picked up, I got from a Crown Books liquidation warehouse, just full of books they couldn't sell (and I'm assuming, they also continually stock with stuff that B&N can't sell, because I think B&N owns them now). I also got an anatomy and physiology coloring book! I don't know why I did, but it was only 40 cents, and I'm going into medical school someday in the not too distant future.

Yeah they are actually style the new "look" of Shadowrun.  One (I can't remember the name exactly) was suppose to be the first of a trilogy.

<Edit: Unfortunately I won't be posting any of the 501 Ideas tonight, I'm not at my house and that's where I left them.  Sorry.>

Well, tell us about these novels! I haven't heard anything about them, and I usually try and keep up on the gossip.

The last shadowrun novel I read, it turned out that the main character (Tommy the Talon) was gay, but they didn't say it explicitly until the end of the book, so I was wondering why the dude was looking at guys and always brushing the hot girl off.

hmmm.... the scene where he uses a physical mask spell to masquerade as a hooker didn't tip you off?  I pretty much figured it from that point... there's no other way he could do that and pull it off.

I have that book you're talkin about! LOL  Well okay there were actually 4 books there.  Basically broken down into Magic, Matrix, Rigger, and another one kinda mixing up the three (this one was the start to the trilogy).  I didn't purchase them at the time, but I probably will today since I'll be out that way.  I don't remember the names off the top of my head... wait lemme see if I can find a link.

Here is a list from Borders.com and as you can see some of the novels are "new" as in printed from 2006 to present.

I need to get the Street Magic book.  Maybe I'll order that when my Augmentation book comes in.

And I just thought of another way to come up with campaign hooks.  Watch a couple episodes of Law & Order: Criminal Intent.  The run a marathon every Sunday night on Bravo, and nightly on USA with new episodes on Thursday at 10:00pm EST.

And yes I watch the new episodes every Thursday  ;D

Sorry on the delay on the 501.  It was a busy couple of days. But I'm off this weekend and see how much I can get done (I'd actually like to be finished by the end of the weekend so everyone can read them over and print out their copies to save like me!)
