How often?
« on: July 01, 2008, 09:47:25 PM »

Hey fellow Pubbers,

It seems the Pub is slowly flat-lining. I was curious how often everybody drops by the Pub.

Also, any ideas on how to get some blood flowing back into the Pub?

I tend to ignore the review thread - especially as you lot tend to get movies etc a month or more before i do.

I check in every couple of days.  Don't worry about the slow bits.  I'm a member at another intimate little site like this one and it was so dead they had started writing out the toe tag.  Then for no particular reason everyone just started posting again.  Its a cyclical thing.  Life shall return to the pub as sure as spring.  I have spoken  :P

I was just checking another site when I realized that I hadn't been to the Pub in FOREVER.

So here I am. I still have no internet at home, and the best estimate I can give you for when I will have internet is "Soon."

I have internet at work, but since I work 24 hour shifts, I only work two days a week. Well... you get the idea. I'm not around the rest of the time, unless I mooch internet from my neighbors (bad connection), or my parent's house (a little far to walk to check my emails).

I'll be back as soon as I figure out this whole Matrix thing.

I still have it at work, so while I'm at work and have down-time, I can check in.

I'll have a lot of downtime today, since I'm working a dispatch shift, which means I'm sitting in an air conditioned room playing on my computer waiting for calls to come in.

In the mean time, I'll check in with my buddies at the Pub.

once a month or so for me. stupid busy life.
did work in a shadowrun the other day though. it worked out fairly well.
did it a bit different than usual. I made up all the PC's, and wrote back stories for all of them, and had a little matrix of which PC knew which other PC, and who had black mail on whom, and who owed whomever else a favor. I was somewhat apprehensive about it, but I figured getting actual roles for everyone would be the only way to get away from the 'everyone is a cyborg ninja munchkin' and move to a better range of skill specializations and coverage.
seemed to work out okay.
I just GM'ed it though, KV would have to give a players review.

As for myself, I know I'm not one of the "old crew"  but I really like the pub. That said, I haven't been here for at least six months. But I do stop on by on a completely random schedule. If I actually post something, and expect responses, my visitiation jumps quite a bit. That said again, I am thinking of running a game. (I am now out of my house, and in a dorm, so I get a fair bit of uniterrupted compy time.) I'm also running a DnD game on another site, so that should motivate me to keep attentive to the place. Anyhow, good to hear from you all. ^_^
