I will say that would be a great reward as a pack of gum. Might taste like those jelly beans from Harry Potter.

Tried and rejected Castlevania, too restricted and too inconsistently designed.  Back to the box for another game, guess I'm more an open world kind of gamer.

Have you tried Hitman?
Each environment is fairly small, but the freedom within is ... pleasant.
Plot's kinda so-so though.

What I've perhaps foolishly done is pick up New Vegas Ultimate for cheap, it has all the DLC content added which is about 4 new arenas in which to shoot new things with various handicaps.  Just finished a wander through Zion National Park and the brewing tribal war therein.  Needless to say there were not a lot of merchants available, but I did get a rather nice .45 smg.  They had mutated bears rather than deathclaws, and some great art in recreating the vistas of Zion. Was amused to see that they depicted the evil invader tribe as a bunch of litterbugs, the locals camps were nice and tidy.  The option was to help the locals abandon Zion and flee leaving the field to the invaders, or fight back and keep Zion.  Guess which one I picked.  Got to get a few more levels under my belt before I try the other three new areas, one ominously taking place at the long lost Sierra Madre Casino. If you ever saw Treasure of the Sierra Madre, you'll know that it can't end well.

That was kind of a fun thing for me as whenit came out i was working in zion, and was cool to see a couple spots, though not many real matches, though can dig that. NV is still my game, and will run it on my laptop as desk dont quite like it. though i am jazzed to see if the remake using the fall 4 engine works. would love to build my own little dust townn in the wastes hiding advanced underground bunker.

in my own gaming thing, as i get more motion back in my hand im playing aliens fire team with friends, hopefully back into Deep Rock Galactic soon, other wise dinking in escape from tarkov modded for single player, sifting about to find mods and bits for guns cause its fun, hoping they might work out like private lobbies for people, and revisiting resident evil games due to some outside inspiration...

Since my long silence, I have also completed Lonesome Road which is freaky plot wise, and you really can't wait to blow up the bad guy who is three of four sandwiches short of a picnic. The Lassie of a eye-bot actually is more noble than most of the people you run across, props for giving a beeping ball some actual personality.  Got some nice armor and a bedroll, though, and that's the main thing - stuff :)
Old World Blues I kinda loved, once beaten it is the absolute best base with your own personal doc, merchant, food and weird companions, albeit mechanical.  I have found myself going back there from time to time just because - and bringing stuff for the neurotic mini-securitron and megalomaniac toaster to process.
Last up is the Sierra Madre Casino run called Dead Money, probably get to that this week.

That's for sure Captain, the game was glitching so bad at the end, I actually just skipped some of the side quests so I could get to the close which I finally did. I think I'll uninstall the thing and do a general cleanup, I'm guessing the multiple saves got a little top heavy for a glitch prone game/

So Dead Money, okay concept, not real fun in execution. You are stripped of all your hard won gear and basically have to start at square one, resupply and all while wearing a bomb collar that could kill you at any time. So that kinda sucked.  The worst part was the bg music, such as it was, and the never changing atmosphere - no night, no day, just monochrome... with toxic pockets of mist.  And the ghost people carry spears, so not great goodies wise.  The funny thing is, the gold you can take at the end, there is no real need.  Gold is no big deal in the wasteland, even with all 32 bars, you can get just as rich by beating the casino and leaving with all the prewar money from there and found in the casino environs that weighs nothing in inventory and you can trade for up to 10 caps each back in the Mojave.  I was actually kinda glad to be done with that add on.  wrapped the whole game yesterday - been busy doing rl and all.

I would love to see Fallout 3 with the ending that makes sense, rather than just throw a 19 year old kid into the suicide machine, that has a real bad taste.  And I did read they were doing something called New Vegas Project Mojave or some such that is supposed to take place about a decade after New Vegas. Don't know any details except that it will be quite a while.

Yeah. Thats been an issue for a while:T

And im with you on dead money. It went heavy on story, and might have served better as a more early game thing as the gear you get is better suited for early on then the mid or late point they programed it as. The gold is a trap as well, but one that doesnt matter much by the time your normally reaching it. Where as early game it makes it more insidious as that injection of caps would be so tempting to weigh oneself down with... in the end it was... meh.

The others are bit better, like big MT is my fave with its weird science the the characters, and an actual feeling of choice in how you go about things. Not to mention all dem nice flashy gubbins ta loot..

Honest hearts was.. disappointing to me with how it felt railroaded in things, but gave some nice kit. Personally i liked the original version of joshua graham, "The Hangedman" who was a monster of all things. Here it just kinda came as.. meh. Overly preachy and pushy.

Lonesome road is tough, but interesting if also frustrating in things.

I did like one of the F3 dlcs did let your character survive, or you could ask the ghoul or supermutant immune to radiation to go do the thing. Cause that original ending. Cripes was that stupid in its hamhanded attempt to push some stupid message of self sacrifice.

One of my boyz wants me to try LA Noir next.  He says I will like it, but I know nothing, except that it's apparently a period piece with a nod to noir film - see how I cleverly deduced that from the title?

so, tried darktide on its beta, and rather enjoyed it. some of the guns and stuff felt a bit.. Meh, but in general was a pretty good and enjoyable game! Very much vermintide in 40k, but still felt like its own thing more or less and was quite enjoyable and had a good time with the lore and just Feel of it.
