The Great Soy Robbery
« on: October 05, 2004, 11:43:43 AM »

Isn't anyone going to comment on this?

http://ingomonk.bullhonkie.com/forums/index.php?board=13;action=display;threadid=484

I would like some feedback...or maybe at least some laughter so I can know I did a good job of writing it up.

[OOC]
I loved it Kid.  I'm gonna host all this fiction later, so don't lose it ;)

One question:  Why the heck was that military guy trying to use a sniper rifle inside a train?  WTF is his problem?

I liked how you described how you were really impressed by the other runners.  It made the character seem more real, gave him more depth.

I thought it was a .50 cal rifle... i couldn't remember if it was a mmg or a sniper rifle, but I did remember that the character used a sniper rifle all the time... so I thought maybe you jsut gave him one.

Then I reemembered the burst fire, so I didn't know what to do about that. I mean, for all I know, it could've been an LMG.

sniper rifles don't work unless you have a sniper nest anyway - assembly on the fly is a bitch  8)

I didagree there zone you dont need a sniper nest to fire a sniper rife depening on make and model dis asmbly is quick  altot of modern  sniper rifles are based off assultrifles so if pushed the sniper can defend himself

it's a little tough to do even a 'quick' assembly if you are being held at gunpoint in a stuffer shack.

The situation I had in mind was running from a gunship but you got the gist of it  ;)

In Shadowrun, a sniper can get shot, walk around, and pretend not to be hurt.

At least, that's what my players did.
