Yeah it'll prolly be at least $100+ for the plain ingenuity.  Plus the nice design, that'll throw on another 50 or 100 bucks.  I'd say a minimum of $150-200.  I'd love to have one, but I'm not about to pay over $200 for a keyboard.  But still though..the itch for it is there lingering... *drool*

The price will come down eventually.  Patent or not, someone's going to copy the idea, and there'll be competition.  One hopes, anyway.

Paying? Copies? *shrug* if you really want it, and can't afford it, you could always steal one.

*grin* for me though, I use my keyboard for so many diffrent applications that have varrying routines and keyboard maps (Mechwarrior, or any other flight like simulator for an example) that it would increase the fun value of the games i'm paying $60 for, by more than their initial value... so even if it's just under $300, i'll probibly get one.

Totally true.  I wonder if it'll come with software so you can customize the keys and images and stuff.  It'd be awesome to create your own pictures for the different keys.  It says they're using OLED technology for the tiny screens under the keys.

looks like they are in color as well...

I can't wait for the first round of computer viruses that have the keybord display 'go slot yourself' or something else on there...

LOL that'd be awesome, or someone writes an elaborate hack that infects a system and if that system has this keyboard it displays a large picture or something using each key to display a small part of it.

or each tile could be a small picture, a single scene from any star-wars movie, but if you take a step back and look, it's a big picture of darth-vader's helmet!

As soon as 1337 h@xx0rz get a hold of this keyboard and its software, we should all be seeing some sweet h@X for it.
