I've been wanting to pull screen shots from DVD's, but I don't know what kind of program I need, and I don't exactly have the money to spend $100-200 on software.
-
Heaya KidVid, what was that software I just stole for Dustin? that'd probibly work.

Found it. it's called 'FRAPS'
you can download it from a totally legal place like:
http://asta-killer.com/list/fraps%20crack.html (http://asta-killer.com/list/fraps%20crack.html)
make sure your security settings are properly set up.

And what would those settings be?
-
use firefox, make sure you have 'autoinstall' turned off, cookies disabled, security settings set high, that you have a firewall other than windows firewall, and that it's turned on (zonealarm will work in a pinch)
that'll stop your system from getting hacked from the hackers.
it's actually a nice setup for them. you go to their site to download illegal things, they hack your computer and steal your stuff.
*shrug*
or just go there from the school's computer, let it get hacked; and copy your .zip file to a flash drive.

Have you checked to see if your DVD player program can do it? All the ones I've looked at can.
-
I need to figure out which program is on the computer.
-
the 'printscreen' button works on some versions of the dvd players... depends on if they allow it or not.

Unfortunately, with my favorite player software (Interactual), Print Screen lets you watch the movie in Paint.
-
hmm...
okay, well download that program i linked... and that should work for you.
