I've said it before but it's one of the good things about living in Tokyo, Japan.
My wife and I got lucky and won an invitation to The Day the Earth Stood Still premier in Tokyo, Japan.
We got to see Keanu Reeves, Jennifer Connelly, Jaden Smith, and Director: Scott Derrickson on the red carpet (or blue carpet to keep with an Earthly theme).
They were inches away and it was pretty exciting. I decided to take our Labyrinth DVD box just in case I could get an autograph. The cool thing is that I got Jennifer Connelly to sign and I got to talk to her for a split minute.
I have some more pictures and a few videos too but it may take some time to put those up.
In the meantime, here are a few pictures and proof of the autograph.
Here are our tickets, the stage, and a big sphere design:

Here is when they first arrived and a bit when they are talking:

Finally, the golden part of the premier for us: Jennifer Connelly's Autograph!

you lucky bastard! So tell us, how was the movie?

I think it depends on whether you read the original story or saw the first movie (or both). From what I recall it was based more on the story than a remake of the first movie.
In any case I didn't read the story, and I didn't see the first movie (though I know a basic outline of the first movie). I kinda liked it, but I didn't feel like it was an OMGWTFBBQ!!!! movie.
