Nice! My wife visited home for the first time in about five years back in February. Sounds like a good time and always feel free to holler before you go next time if can recommend anything or even small tips. Any big highlights from the trip?

Recently went to the land of the rising sun. Megacorp jokes aside, I recommend everyone go at least once in their life. Beautiful place with a rich history and people aren't drek-heads. The Tokyo train/metro is a thing of beauty and efficiency once you figure it out.
Definitely agree or I wouldn?t have spent 15 years of my life there. Glad you enjoyed it! Where did you guys go? Just the Tokyo area?

In total Tokyo for about 10 days and Kyoto/Osaka for about 6 days. Next time we'll spend much less time in Tokyo

Good for you. I used to love finding new places to see. Sadly, never had any interest in Japan when I was actually traveling, back when it was fun and easy. Now that I'm older, and travel is difficult and borderline unpleasant,  I want to see it all, and probably won't. Did make it to Europe and the middle east, but not the far east. So unless I become one of the stupidly rich somehow, and manage a seagoing mega-yacht (on which you'd all be invited) I think that only domestic travel is my future; there's still a lot to see in the lower 48.

Not to worry - I'm not here every day either. Probably should be, but no.

I really have to remember to check in with you meat bags more often. I apologize. Its like the last few of us are a flock of dodos on a stormy rock idly wondering why those tall featherless newcomers have big sticks with them.
