So, this is OOC, and my thoughts.
Sly made his name rescuing some locals from a pack of ghouls, got his devilish good looks in the paper and everything.
he had some natural affinity for the work, due to some elvish luck he got astral magic resistance and the ability to see astrally
That prompted him to start his own paranormal exterminator business.
He was doing well, had employees (Sly's Devils) a shop, and a regular routine he was happily following.
About the time that he started getting his name in the paper on a regular basis his contacts started to develop. He could afford to legally get some controlled hardware (the laser pistols with 'elemental' effect work better on spirits and critters for some reason) he put himself through school and got his business degree.
After getting trounced by his first encounter with bug spirits landed him in the hospital, he decided to get a bigger edge for the bigger critters. He had the contacts to get the move-by-wire and superthyroid gland installed, as well as some environmental protection for running about in the sewers where the buggers usually bunker down.
He was just about to expand his bag of tricks again with some drone work when it happened.
Aztechnology got the copyright to 'ghostbusters', and decided to open up their own big 10 sponsored corporate company.
They didn't like the competition, so they black-listed him. everyone stopped returning his calls. His main office was declared a 'crime scene' and locked down. half of his employees were arrested on the spot, and the remaining few have been laying low avoiding 'round-up'.
not that he can stop paying rent... and all his student loans are due...
so, he's got one van. (the one he had taken out for the day's work) and he's been living out of it for a couple of months. none of his friends are returning his calls, and only the few addresses that knew him from the original days of ghoul hunting still give him work, (or let him keep working on their existing contract)
He's a tall thin build elf, with jetblack hair (slicked back) and a very stylish goatee.
He's got two durable red jumpsuit/helmet/respirator combos with his company logo on the back, and a set of his extra-durable 'work' clothes.
Even though his licenses are technically revoked, he's still got all the original permits, and the banks are still accepting his payments on the equipment.
