Yeah. That seemed a little dumb to me.

I mean, he's the biggest threat the corporate world has ever known- able to sink megacorporations by HIMSELF, and he didn't have a backup plan?

I think he's still out there- the death of novatech is far from the end of this.

Again, I'm getting here late, but I think you'll find a more definitive description of crater lake in Target: Awakened Lands.  Doesn't answer all the questions, though.

Yesh, heh, never expected an actual possible book this long after i've left the lake.. butg i'll look into it, who knows, provided some diffrent management i might be going back around then.
