Well, i was going for someone that was more outcast than to have dirrect access to a 'don' or a 'bushedo master' or whatever telling him what to do or not do. so, his family seeing his defeat (or being dead from his defeat) has ostrasised him. but, he's still squatting in the same neighborhood, but minus the protection from his family. he's 'between' gangs. his family won't protect him, and the other gangs won't trust him because he use to be thier competitor. so, he's got a limited set of skills, a very limited set of resources, and no set of contacts.

so, what does he do for work? steal? sell repaired motorcycles? gotta do something to keep soy on the table... perhaps he's turned into some sort of ghoul hunter... it's dangerous, but you can sell whatever gear you get off of their twice dead corpses... might be able to live off of that...
