I do know that a girl a few years back died because she ate chili with peanut butter in it, and she had an alregy to peanuts. Talk about a shitty last meal.

That's what happened in the CSI ep.  I don't remember whether it was the peanut butter or the bee, but the guy was allergic to both.

I think what happen is he was exposed to on of them, used his injector to avoid anaphylactic shot, so when he was exposed to the other one, he didn't have any left.

As far as I knew, a peanut allergy i usually a fatal one. I saw something about it a few years ago and seem to remember it saying that some allergies tend to be either fatal or non-existant with no real grey area of severity. So, if I am remembering this correctly, it seems that an inhaler really wouldn't help for someone who swallowed a peanut. Of course, I could easliy be wrong about this.

Thier throat can swell up and close, but a shot of antihistamine works wonders (as histamine is the chemical that causes the swelling).

No, there can be minor allergies.  My pater is mildy allergic to fresh fruit - or rather some enzyme or chemical in fresh fruit - it won't kill him if he eats it but he'll be damned uncomfortable.  A guy a work with can survive a single bee sting, multiples will likely kill him, though, even if he does stab himself with his allergy jab.

Yeah, my girlfriend is allergic to fresh fruit, as well as avacado. Only a minor allergy, so when she 'cheats' and eats it, her lips swell up.

Oh I know you can be mildly allegic to thing, I was talking about the peanut allergy is particular. I was under the impression that it was almost always a fatal allergy.

Now I remember.  He had a reaction to the guy flicking peanut shells at him.  That's why his injector had already been used when the bee stung him.
