Seems like to me the Company wanted to use him.  In order for them to use him they need to be able to control him.  In order to control him they need him to see things their way.  So, they capture him and find some way to block his powers with the promise of letting him have his powers back if he'll work for the company.  I bet they weren't betting on him taking the course he did.

One thing I find interesting is how they seem to be switching the roles of characters.  So Peter and Adam are working together to take down the pre-heroes (PH), and maybe the company itself.  And the Company seems to be wanting to find people with powers who don't know what those powers are (let's call 'em groggies like in SR) and either control them, take away their powers, or use them.  In a sense it's a noble effort, saving humanity from itself.  On the other side they end up using people so the company isn't that nice after all.

The way I see it right now everything and everyone is in a gray area.  There's no set lines and defined good and evil factions right now.  I think we'll find out soon enough who's the good guy and who's the bad guy.  Though, it's kinda neat seeing everyone follow their own agenda and nobody being good/bad.

Oh, in case you missed it, they said how they 'turned off' Sylar's powers.

The electricity girl can shock people's powers to "Off" mode simply enough. She shocked Peter daily (who healed the damage due to having absorbed Claire's abilities), but with someone like Sylar, he'd only need one shock to turn his powers off.

Of course, the girl is a sociopath, so I think Sylar will just convince her it'd be more fun to let him kill people and have his powers back on. I think she'd go for that.

Okay, and a few of other things I noticed when re-watching the episode with my Dad this past weekend. (My whole family is nerds. It's so awesome!)

1) Bob lied to Nathan- he said that Peter's memory was already gone, and implied that he was being held at the facility, but then (while they were under an imminent threat of attack) was not a good time for them to visit him.

2) Nathan's mom totally lied to him- it was her that drove his family away, not him. Evil old slitch.

3) Why is the Hatian still working for the company if the only way for Bennett's family to be safe was for the Hatian to take all of his memories about Claire's escape and assume the role of the conspirator, leaving Bennett in the clear? Why are they cool with him working for them, if that's the case?

Oh, and I saw the possibility for the "twist" last night, so I wasn't all the surprised. I'm just curious what's going to happen with him now.

Well, Isaac Mendez painted the future, but if there's anything we learned in the first season, just because you think you know what you're looking at doesn't mean it means what you think.

Example- Peter died, but he had absorbed Claire's powers, so he didn't stay dead.

This new series was... non-linear. It covers many different areas of the second season, but no plotline specifically. For example, it shows Hiro fighting Takezo Kensai, but Hiro is wearing glasses, something he didn't do often in the past, including when he finally fought Kensai. Is this painting a symbol of the fight between Hiro and Adam- or was it already covered in Whitebeard's armament tent?

HRG (Horned-Rimmed Glasses... aka Noah Bennett) was shown dead- shot in the eye, with Claire hugging someone in the background. In the exchange between Claire and Elle (the electricity girl), Elle blasted Claire out of the sky, Bennett shot her, and Mohinder shot Bennett in the eye, killing him.

I had figured out that Claire's blood would be a big part of this series, because she brought it up in the first few episodes, and then Adam's blood was shown to cure people of pretty traumatic stuff- even severe radiation burns. So Claire's blood- does it have limits? Can it bring someone back from the dead?

Turns out that it can.

it's going to be interesting to see how much they cram into the next 2 episodes with the writers strike shutting everything down

They were already planning to stop production, to give a break between "Volumes" 2 and 3. The empty space was supposed to be filled with "Heroes: Origins" which, sadly, was the first casualty of the writer's strike.

So, any theories on who shot Nathan? My money is on Bennett.

I thought the same thing. Nathan's gonna be ok though. Peter's gonna save his life with his blood. They're gonna let everyone think Nathan is dead to use to their advantage. Now, how about Adam being buried alive. Ooooooo, talk about creepy!

I don't know about that. They saved the spanish chick... which I guess means that she's going to be a good guy now? But... Well, Nikki is toast, so...

Yeah, I'm not sure what they're going to do in the new year.
