Yeah, I was up there but got tired of competing so pulled out of the race.

I'm always been a firm believer in, sometimes the best way to win is to deny battle. ;)

Personally, I've always felt that the best way to win is to so overwhelm the opposition that there's no longer a point for them to fight, and they surrender without a single blow falling. :D

But to each their own- I believe yours is in Sun Tzu's Art of War. :D

Works less well on large-scale engagements. :D

But yes, cannily effective for small-term engagements. I've been caught by it once or twice, and it hasn't been a pleasant experience.

Actually, this was before I ever learned any martial arts- it caught me off guard because I wasn't even fighting, it was just a high school girl, and she was mad at me, so she kicked me in the juevos.

If you want to stop a fight with a woman, punch her in the face. If you want to stop a fight with a man, punch him in the throat- guys just get mad when you punch them in the face, but punching them in the throat reminds them that they have weaknesses, no matter how much training they've had.

At least, that's been my experience.

Usually works with the nose as well, as it's prone to breaking - painfully.

...or you can just trip and pin him, usually works as well.
