acturaly for such a "primate race" thier traps were very effective against the imps and caught the rebels too
just  because its low tech dont mean its not as efective as all the new  shiny high tech toys

Wasn't the hungry wookie the only one who actually fell for the trap? All the other rebels didn't bother with it, and the imperial troops had to be attacked and then drawn into the "kill zone" (I use the phrase with some trepidation), where they were fit by logs and rocks.

How the frag do you kill stormtroopers with rocks and sticks when that armor is supposed to protect against blaster bolts?

excatly the armour protects against blaster bolts aka engery bolts and rock doesnt have to hit hard if it hits in the right spot

That doesn't make sense. Rock = less kinetic energy than a blaster.

Of course, did you ever see a stormtrooper shrug off a blaster hit? The armor didn't seem to do much for them. Which is why I think the rebels went without.

it helps a little by game stats but hinders more than it helps plus costs and dependable suspplys of it

I don't think I would think of Lucas as such a terrible writer if he didn't refer to himself as a "genius, mastermind, and innovator."

Like I recently read about Hal Sparks (a comedian) saying:

"I've never bought that George Lucas had the whole story arc planned out from the beginning; especially when you look at the original Star Wars poster and see Princess Leia is clinging to Luke's leg. You'd think if George thought this through all the way to Jedi he would have brought that up in the marketing meeting, and say something like, 'You know that's his sister, right?' They probably would have had to take some of the kissing out too."
