I thought Lady J had her BDUs cut off for a midriff? Or something... oops, apparently not.
Apparently showing a little cleavage made for a pleasant working environment for Lady J.

Well, I don't know what you've heard, but...
That's the first image that popped up on google image search. I would say that she is rather attractive. And meets the minimum requirements for "scantily clad."

Kind of reminds me of Red Sonja and here scale mail bikini. Yeah, that's an effective bit of uniform...

Heh. I recently found a roleplaying webcomic called "Chainmail Bikini" that's pretty funny.
I think that is a cover, or maybe just cover art that never got used, for the GI Joe Comic book. They're not really aimed at kids anymore, so they can be a little racier. But I agree with Gabe.
Would be my facial expression of choice.

Speacking as someone who reads the comics, they are not really THAT adult, nor are they really racy at all. Aside from Lady J being dead, Flint in a wheelchair, and Shipwreck shtupping Cover Girl, it's more or less just a military book.

Huh. Really? Interesting. I had heard that the Joe comics had been retooled for an older audience.
But I haven't read any of them, so I don't know how true that is, and the only thing I have to compare it to is the cartoon that I used to watch as a kid (and the PSAs they used to have during other cartoons- "Now you know- and knowing is half the battle!")

Hey, it's a good comic. And much more realistic than the tv show ever got, and for good reason.

Yeah. Decapitation, disembowelment, and bloody death weren't really part of the kids-programming hour. Although Looney Tunes included it quite a bit. Of course, no one ever died there.
