They don't have the sci-fi channel in Japan but I get the Super Channel which has lots of sci-fi shows but other shows as well, like MacGuyver, The Drew Carey show, etc..

Yeah, we've thought about it but we want to wait until we buy a house then do something then. We already have cable now so we can be patient until then.

sucks to be you i need the men to look at and starbuck needs to be a dude that is the way it should be as for Apoc im sorry i wish you did get cable..its fun when you watch a show you havent seen since you were a kid then you see it now and a person that should have been a guy is now a girl  :o

Dirk Benedict made Battlestar Gallactica great.  To not only lose him, but to have his character castrated in that way...

Dear fragging Ghost you people are like rabid Trekkies. You get the damn show for FREE or at least close enough to it that it doesn't even matter and you sit here bitching about a character change from a show that aired 20 YEARS AGO??? Damn.

Now personally I loved the 2-episode premier. Making Boomer a girl made no difference to me at all since Boomer was nothing but a supporting character in the original anyway. Making Starbuck a girl didn't really affect me either. I mean who the hell cares? I do have to say that I didn't really like the Starbuck character, but not for her being female, but because I think the character is just flat.

And I have to say, they did the Human Genocide so better in 2 episodes than the original series conveyed in an entire season and 2 TV moives. And that last part about ther being no 13th colony was fraggin' great. This series will be a darker, gritier version of the original and that's a good thing.

Theres actually a show called Maguyver? Wow I thought that was just a Simpsons creation.

Don't have sky over here or even cable, so I guess I'm part of the heathen. Although I have seen 1 of the new Battlestar Gallactica if thats what you're talking about, was quite good. But personally I preferred the old cyclons and their voices  ;D

Dirk Benedict made Battlestar Galactica. The interaction between Starbuck and the dude that played Apollo (?) was what kept it on the air as long as it was.

I haven't seen the new one yet, but am leery about it considering the stupid and unnecessary changes.
