If I remember, the Paddin thread was all about having a place to post sweet nothings that would boost your post count, to keep the other topics on topic. Hence the name: you were paddin' your post count.
Since the main aim of the thread has changed (to instead having a conversation that runs like a soapie - you can leave it for 3 months and still pick up where you left off), I don't have a problem with changing the name to something that makes sense for those who haven't been around for the last 8-9 years.
Then again, the effect of the thread is the same - raising your post count - so the current name is also adequate. In that case, locking it and starting a new thread is fine... exactly what the new thread is called... well that's another matter

As for me, I'm not fussed either way.

As for the debate as to whether the post count will be modified - there's one sure way to find out

But as far as my memory goes, I'm sure Ingo did say once that if a Mod deletes a threat the post count is revoked, but if the natural tidy-droids get to it then it saves the PC.
BTW, if I claim that I read through the whole thread will I instantly become a Mod?
