well, if it's raining or snowing heavily, with strong wind comming in from the front, it's usually "easier" to walk backwards, because you don't have to worry so much about your eyes and (often) exposed face.

Ofcourse, you still have to worry about walking into things, or getting run over, if there's car around, and things like that.

well, if you are walking backwards in water, it's easye because your musles are better at pushing than pulling. (so it's easyer to jump up, walk backwards through resistance, and do pushups than it is to lift something heavy, walk forward through water, or the like.

That would explain some of the ease of walking backwards agains the wind too, I guess. And I alwas just thought it was more pleasant and thus seemed easier.

also has a bit to do with leverage.

when walking forward, your one calf mussle is pulling forward the entire weight of your body.

when walking backwards, your weight is being distributed more evenly, and you can use all of the muscles allong your backside, even if the steps are going to be quite a bit shorter.

Damn, Mercy...

If you're waiting for the gunfire to let up, you'll probably be around until the shift change!

And since muscles working are contracting, that makes plenty of sense. Ofcourse.

I think he should grab a body that's cut in half, walk outside and shout "Everyone freeze or this guy gets it!"

History would show that ideas of that nature typically don't go over well.

Hmmm... this is true. Of course, Shadowrun has taught me that it's important to run away whenever you see the chance, because if you don't run now, there might not be a chance later. ;D

Blane and Zach taught me that. ;D

i would have thought that they taught you to run faster than your team-mates, because they are likely to lock the door behind them as they run away, not waiting for you to be through it first.

Hey, they bombed a car with my unconscious body in it, to throw off Lone Star when they tried to investigate.

*sigh* And that run turned out well!
