If you wanted to argue it, which I highly recommend against in a PbPost game, you could use the rules in SR Companion to do your swimming/treading water:

Base Target Number is: 2

+1 Per Cyber Section: Each Arm/Leg, Torso, or CyberSkull
+2  for Aluminum/Titanium Bone Lacing
+1 for Clothing
+1 per 2 kilos of weight

Elves get -1 for some weird reason
0 for humans and dwarves
+1 for Orks and Trolls
-2 if you're obese
0 for physically fit
+1 For out of shape
+1 for Highly developed muslces/ low body fat
-1 for flotsam
-2 for a life-jacket
+2 to 4 for rough water
+Wound modifiers

Test is initial and then every Strength Minutes

Not that a Sleeping bag isn't a fashion statement, but wouldn't said sleeping bag float to some extent?


Also, if that respirator has a tank, the tank would float, very well, I might add. Other than that. Why the frag are you carrying a survival kit with you in the middle of the city?

i dont think that a sleeping bag could keep you afloat its water resisitant and flame resistant but i think if you add weight to it ...it will sink like everything else maybe use it for cushion

I've fallen into a river with a 'water resistant' sleeping bag... it did not float. infact, i think it soaked up part of the river, and promptly almost dround me.

You could go back and get your tent... I think part of it is still stuck on the top of that stuffer shack... cut into little strips... oh, FYI, I tend to be a little hard on equipment in my runs. LOL

(Specially if you carry it arround with you all the time)

well, equipment is all usefull, and most of it is nice to have in a pinch. but typically, being unencumbered is more valuable than being able to camp wherever you may suddenly feel the need to. (a length of rope would have worked just as good as your tent, and would have weighed a fraction of what your pavalion did, and a sleeping bag? in seattle? you'd be better off carrying an extra cred stick with 25Y on it for a coffin motel. they'd be easyer to find than a place to pitch a tent and camp anyways)
but that's just me.
your guy is quite the boyscout, so perhaps it's in his nature to be ready to go on a week long camping trip into the Tir at the drop of a hat...
