Well, there were a lot of tactical questions on there- I think you probably did a couple of things differently (maybe you protected the supply lines, rather than attempting a last-ditch effort to rout), and that made the difference.

yea. it's a good idea, but short sighted.

think of it this way. the day after you win the war; your guys will still have to eat.

and no one fights good on an empty stomach.

true- that was the only one where I think I answered differntly than you did- and I thought about it for a good five mi nutes before deciding to be a little more ruthless and a little less cautious.

well, according to the online survay... that dosn't mean much in real world enviroments.

plus, knowing historical battles is only half the picture; and that's all they quizzed on.

No, speaking from experience- you're the only one who EVER beat me at Risk and other strategy games. I used to play with the smart kids from class, too. Like Dad thinking he sucked at chess becuase both of his older brothers were ranked.

I thought I was horrible at those games until I played someone else. Then I trounced them. The group I was playing kept getting bigger (beat one guy, beat him and his friend, beat him and two friends, beat him and three friends, beat him, three friends and a teacher...) until they had both teachers and about half of the class watching.

And you're a better tactician than I am. By far.

I wouldn't say that you 'suck' at anything. getting an 81 or whatever in tatics is far from suckage.

everyone has things that they are really good at, and things they are just okay at, and things they are competative with, and things they can do well enough to impress people who don't matter.

like... computers. I'm super competative in repairing computers.
you can fix them just as well, but don't try nearly as hard, 1) because you don't have to, because I'm competative with it, and 2) because you know enough to fix most anything.

with tatics, I know enough to impress laymen, but it's not something i'm really competative about.

mom is super competative with her grades in school.
David is super competative with fixing general hardware house stuff.
Dustin is obsessive compulisve when it comes to world of warcraft or other video games. (remember when he almost cryed when you teamed up and practiced for a whole weak to beat him once at the stupid wreseling game?)

everyone gets to pick their own obsessions. it's one of the many things that make us unique.
