Fortune still pops up from time to time, but I haven't seen Flip in eons or Janus for even longer... but hey I'm back! At least for today.  Looks like I have another couple weeks of minimal on time staring me in the face.  So what exactly are the symptoms for internet withdrawal?

As for PB? I'd have to agree with Gabe on that one and add misogynistic bastard to the mix...but then I'd stopped reading anything he wrote about two months before he finally decamped.  Can't say I'm sorry to see the last of him...

Its nice to have new blood that actually joins the pub rather than tries to twist the pub to it own preference :)

Actually, right after he started posting here, I started hearing about those people who are paid to haunt message boards, and just post all day long, eventually inserting sales pitches or rhetoric into thier posts to draw in new customers.

(Penny Arcade had something in thier newsposts about it shortly thereafter)

Kinda made me wonder what PB's deal was... I mean, I can understand posting in forums, because I do that too... but just... it wasn't even fun or funny. He came here to harass people, talk about H.E.R.O., repeatedly say how awesome Fallout was (which as near as I can tell was the only point the majority of us seemed to agree with him), and I have to ask myself what his purpose was.

It's confusing.

he talked about some online retailer that 'did him right' by doubleboxing his shadowrun stuff or somesuch...

but that's mostly it.

Well, I think the idea is to be innoculous, so he'd be here for years, and then would start esposing products and services, and we would all follow like lemmings because he's a longtime poster and we would all trust his judgements..

hmmm... maybe that's the biggest argument against it. The fact that he was a pompous blowhard, and no one wanted to listen to him. That's the best case for his innocence that I can manage.
