I think the telletubbie fracas started when the guy who played Tinky revealed that he is indeed a flaming poof when out of costume.  The little red tubby is played by a Chinese girl and so some of her barely discernable lines are in (I believe) Cantonese.  Since the tubbies are, I assume, asexual, I never understood the fuss.  Its not like the preschool crowd cares or understands.  And once they're old enough for Nickelodeon they'll  never soil their retinas on tubbies again.

Hmm, something went wrong there.  I wanted to point out that mercy used the term 'ass', and as the topic had been on gays I thought it was quite humourous.

I reckon the teletubbies should have been band on principle.  I don't think I ever watched them, but those big fluffy costumes should not be unleashed on children. >:(
