Yeah, I heard. He goes out like a punk-ass bitch, too. He gets killed by a sniper on the steps of the courthouse after he's acquitted. Or something like that.

Can you really be that suprised? Didn't they kill off Mary Jane with radioactive sperm, or something like that?

Uhhh... no, I'm serious about Mary Jane. I heard she had a brush with death due to radioactive sperm. I don't read marvel comics (they tell the same stories over and over, with very small variations- nothing ever really changes), so I haven't kept up on them for a while, even though Civil War sounded pretty cool. It didn't turn out to be, but it sounded that way.

The only time I can ever think of anything mentioning Superman's sperm is in "Wanted," where the world is run by Supervillians, and one of them once tried to kill Superman by giving him a kryptonite condom.

Um.... yeah.

Anyway, about Captian America, I'm going to try to get this issue, but I'm pretty sure I know what's going to happen. First of all, Marvel will NEVER kill off Captain America. That's like DC killing off Batman. What's going to happen is that the Punisher is going fake Cap's death. In issue 7 of Civil War, the Punisher picked up Cap's tossed-away mask as Cap was being carted off to jail. In recent years, people have made a big deal about Captian America being out of touch with the current American mindset. So when the Punisher fakes the death, Steve Rogers will take the oppertunity to "walk the roads", getting back in touch with the country he loves so much. After all, you can't be an effective force of change if you have no idea how the country NEEDS to be changed.

Look for Captain America to pop back up in a few years.

I think this is a Doomsday/Knightfall attempt to garner more support for Captain America. If it's anything like Superman or Batman, they'll string it along for like a year, and then bring it back.

Of course, Marvel isn't above raping the corpses of it's beloved ideas, so they might just make a new Captain America who's hipper and more in touch with today's youth culture. A gay asian Captain America.

You just wait- they only have two options with a "Death of Captain America" storyline- either they're going to have him go underground and get in touch with his 'roots,' or they're going to revamp the storyline to make him more ascessible to today's hip youth.
