Based on Frank Miller's graphic novel of the same name, this is the tale of King Leonadus of Sparta and the 300 soldiers who defeated the persian empire army of over a million soldiers.

Trailer: Here

Favorite part of the trailer:"The thousand nations of the persian empire will attack, and thier arrows will blot out the sun!"

And the Spartan replies, "Well, then we will fight in the shade."

As well they should; they were pretty badass.

I'm not a whole fan of the 'you have to sodomize someone to be considered a man' tradition, though. Not really my cup of tea.

Still, this is an awesome story of bad-assitude if I've ever heard one.
