Well, blue used to be the most annoying, with constant counterspells and mana drains and everything, but by far, the Goblin Deck was the most irritating thing I've ever seen.
Ruski started it as a "well, I have more than four of a card in here, is that okay with you? What card? Mons Goblin Raiders? Oh, that's fine" where he would draw his hand, put down a mana, tap the mana, and cast a goblin.
Second round, puts down another mana and casts two goblins. First goblin attacks.
Third round, puts down another mana, casts the rest of his hand, goblins attack en mas. It doesn't take long for pretty much anything but a land destruction deck to be overwhelmed.
20 mana + 40 goblins = ded for other decks.
He then worked on it to make it Legal, using all the different kinds of goblins, goblin grenades, and goblin kings, so goblins became 5/6 creature with mountainwalk. Which was a little scary. It didn't win as much, though.
I took it an fine-tuned it, and was able to beat just about anything. I mean ANYTHING. I had people who would put a grand into putting together the 'perfect' deck, and I could beat them just as easily.
I eventually showed one of my good friends how I had worked it out, and he took the deck on to win some major tournaments (the ones where you pick up like $500-$1000 for winning), so its legacy hs lived on.
But it started out as an annoying deck that cost... what, $.03 per mana, and $.02 per goblin to make?
